Explore Japan through our tailor-made trips, designed by Charles and his team from Tokyo. Each itinerary combines Kyoto's ancient temples, Tokyo's vibrant energy, the heritage villages of the Japanese Alps, and steaming onsens nestled in the mountains. Whether you travel with family, as a couple, or with friends, our trips adapt to your pace: high-speed trains to cover long distances, nights in ryokan to slow down, free days to wander through Asakusa's alleys or Nishiki markets. From a 12-day discovery trip to a grand 3-week journey including Kyushu or Hokkaido, find the itinerary that suits you and travel with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency.

How to choose your Japan trip?
Trip duration determines travel coherence. For a first visit, a 9 to 12-day circuit comfortably covers Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, the Japanese Alps with Takayama and Kanazawa, plus one night in a ryokan in Hakone facing Mount Fuji. Beyond that, a 13 to 17-day journey lets you add Hiroshima and Miyajima, or venture into Kyushu for active volcanoes and Kurokawa's onsens. Travelers who have been to Japan before often prefer to focus on a single region, Hokkaido in winter or Okinawa for diving.
We systematically combine train travel and nights in traditional accommodations, spacing two to three nights per stage to avoid the pace of group coach tours.
Different circuit types
Our cultural circuits delve into Kyoto's zen temples, Edo-period gardens, tea ceremony in Uji or calligraphy initiation. Adventure itineraries lead to the Kumano Kodo trails in the Kii Peninsula, volcanic hikes in Daisetsuzan Park or crossing the northern Alps with nights in mountain lodges. For family circuits, we prioritize Tokyo and its Ghibli Museum, the deer of Nara, child-friendly onsens in Hakone and a short stay in Okinawa to finish with beach and snorkeling.
What's the best season?
Spring, from late March to mid-May, attracts the most travelers with cherry blossom bloom: the window lasts ten days per city and books up ten months in advance. Autumn, October to late November, brings red maples, clear skies and temperatures of 15 to 22°C, ideal conditions for hiking. Summer remains hot and humid on Honshu (35°C in August), but suits Hokkaido where it reaches 22°C. Winter, December to March, opens up the snowy landscapes of Shirakawa-go and the powder snow of Niseko.
